A healthcare organization in the City of London is seeking a substantive consultant radiologist to join their team. The role involves providing comprehensive diagnostic and interventional neuroradiology services, with responsibilities that include neuro interventional procedures, teaching supervision of trainees, and participation in governance meetings. Candidates should have a Fellowship from the Royal College of Radiologists and full GMC registration. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a candidate interested in a substantive consultant radiologist post to join our team at Barking Havering, and Redbridge University Hospital Trust. The successful candidate will be part of the radiology team at Queens and King George Hospitals. Each consultant will have an office space, secretarial provision, access to a PACS reporting station, a PC and, in addition, a reporting workstation for remote access to images for on-call purposes and work from home.
The post is designed to share the responsibility for the provision of comprehensive interventional and diagnostic neuroradiology services including the provision of neurovascular clinics and MDTs.
The successful candidate is expected to support the Radiology department primarily in the following areas:

We run a Women's Health Hub in Ilford, an Ageing Well Centre in Hornchurch and Community Diagnostic Centres (CDC) at Barking Community Hospital and at St George's Health and Wellbeing Hub, open 12 hours a day, 7 days a week.

We have 2 trainees from London deanery and 1 trainee from East of England at one time. The role will support 1–2 trainees for neuroradiology rotation with teaching and supervised reporting. Teaching experience and supervisory skills training is desirable.
Management experience is desirable. The candidate will share responsibility for investigating incidents related to neuroradiology and participate in quality assurance projects to improve the service.
