A prominent healthcare provider in Wales is seeking a full-time Consultant Paediatric Intensivist to join the PICU team at Noah's Ark Children's Hospital, Cardiff. Qualifications

Salary

Basic salary range: £110,240 – £160,951 per annum, based on Consultant contract for Wales.

Requirements
  • Must be on the Specialist Register, or a Specialist Registrar within six months of expected receipt of CCT.
  • Provide references covering at least the last 3 years of employment/training history.
  • For those currently or most recently employed as a substantive Consultant or Locum Consultant in post for >12 months, also provide the name of their Medical Director as an additional referee.
The PICU

Cardiff's Paediatric Critical Care Unit (PCCU) is based in the Children's Hospital for Wales (opened March 2015). It comprises 7 commissioned ITU beds and 4 HDU beds, and is the only children's intensive care unit in Wales, accepting patients from mid and South Wales. It manages all paediatric conditions, including neurosurgery, and is a Major Trauma Centre. Children requiring acute cardiac surgery are transferred to Bristol PICU.
