Construction Manager / Site Manager – Civil Project (Freelance)

Location : Ipswich

Start Date : 08 / 12 / 2025

Duration : 9–12 months

We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Manager / Site Manager for a freelance role on a civil engineering project based in Ipswich. The project involves a combination of groundworks and reinforced concrete (RC) works.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and lead the on-site team
• Ensure all works are delivered in line with the construction programme
• Update and maintain the 4-week look-ahead programme
• Produce daily site diaries
• Order, schedule, and manage plant and materials

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Project Engineer, Construction Manager, or Site Manager
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage construction teams effectively
• 5–10 years’ experience in groundworks and RC works
• Proven ability to run a site in accordance with the programme
• Experience updating project progress and 4-week look-ahead programmes
• Experience ordering plant and materials
• An engineering degree or equivalent qualification
• Valid CSCS card and SMSTS certification
• Valid First Aid certificate
