Job summary

MCR Property Group is recruiting a Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial delivery on a Bedford project, ensuring budgets and programmes are met. The role is primarily site-based with close collaboration with project managers and senior stakeholders.

You will provide hands-on commercial expertise from inception through final account, manage cost reporting, forecasting, variations, and procurement, and bring strong Excel and communication skills, with a full driving licence.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
• Experience across pre- and post-contract stages.
• Experience in developer, main contractor or subcontractor environments.
• Solid knowledge of building materials, construction techniques and systems.
• Full, clean driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly cost reporting and financial forecasting.
• Manage contracts and subcontract packages.
• Handle variations and final accounts.
• Procure efficiently across multiple projects.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and delivery team.
