Job summary

MCR Property Group is seeking a Quantity Surveyor for a Bedford-based project. You will be responsible for ensuring schemes are procured efficiently and delivered within budgets, providing commercial expertise from inception to final account.

You will report to the Construction Director and Commercial Director, own monthly cost reporting, forecasting, and management of variations, collaborating with Project Managers and other QS professionals across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor across multiple project types.
• Experience with procurement, tenders, and subcontract packages.
• Strong cost reporting, forecasting, and final accounts experience.
• Solid knowledge of building materials and construction methods.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly cost reporting and financial forecasting for projects.
• Manage contract and subcontract packages and variations.
• Prepare cost plans, estimates, and bills of quantities.
• Perform interim valuations and final accounts, with site-based reviews.
