Job summary

MCR Property Group is recruiting a Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial and financial delivery of a Bedford project. You will manage cost reporting, forecasting, contract packages, and variations, providing hands-on commercial expertise from inception through final account.

The role is primarily site based, with valuations and project reviews, and requires a proactive, commercially minded professional with a strong command of Excel and related software.

Qualifications

• Three years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor across multiple project types.
• Experience in developer, main contractor or subcontractor environments.
• Involvement in cost plans, estimates, measurement for BOQs, tendering and procurement.
• Strong knowledge of building materials, construction techniques and systems.
• Full, clean driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly cost reporting and financial forecasting.
• Manage contract and subcontract packages and variations.
• Prepare cost plans, estimates and measurement for Bills of Quantities.
• Support pre- and post-contract activities and tender reporting.
• Work closely with project delivery team on site.
