Job summary

MCR Property Group is seeking a driven Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial and financial delivery on a Bedford project. You will manage cost reporting, forecasting, and subcontract packages, with involvement from inception to final account.

Based primarily on site, the role requires a strong procurement background, expertise in cost plans, bills of quantities, tenders and variations, plus a confident, collaborative approach with project teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor across a range of project types and values.
• Experience within a developer, main contractor, or subcontractor environment.
• Experience across pre- and post-contract stages including cost plans, estimates, and tender reporting.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly cost reporting and financial forecasting.
• Manage contract and subcontract packages and variations.
• Lead tendering, procurement, and interim valuations.
• Prepare final accounts and post-contract financial closure.
• Work on site with project teams and stakeholders.
