Job summary

MCR Property Group is recruiting a Quantity Surveyor for a Bedford-based residential project. You will ensure procurement efficiency, manage cost reporting and forecasts, and oversee contract and subcontract packages from inception to final account.

The role is site-based with regular valuations and project reviews. A strong background in subcontract procurement, cost planning, tendering, and final account preparation is essential to succeed in this environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor across a range of project types and values.
• Experience with cost plans and estimates, measurement for bills of quantities, tendering and procurement, value engineering, tender reporting, interim valuations, and final accounts.
• Experience within a developer, main contractor, or subcontractor environment and across pre- and post-contract stages.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly cost reporting and financial forecasting for projects.
• Manage contract and subcontract packages and variations.
• Contribute to the commercial strategy and financial control of projects.
• Liaise with Project Managers and fellow QS on commercial matters.
• Provide hands-on commercial expertise from inception through to final account.
