Job summary

MCR Property Group is recruiting a Quantity Surveyor for a flagship residential project in Bedford. You will manage subcontract procurement, deliver robust cost reporting, and provide hands-on commercial expertise from inception to final account.

The role is primarily site-based with regular valuations and project reviews. The successful candidate will have at least three years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor across diverse project types, with familiarity in pre- and post-contract activities,

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor across a range of project types/values.
• Experience within a developer, main contractor or subcontractor environment.
• Proficient in cost plans and estimates, measurement for bills of quantities, tendering and procurement, value engineering, tender reporting, interim valuations and final accounts.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly cost reporting and financial forecasting.
• Manage contracts and subcontract packages.
• Support commercial strategy and financial control across projects.
• Work with delivery team and project managers; perform regular valuations and project reviews.
