Job description

Construction Compliance Manager

Semperian Group is seeking to recruit a Construction Compliance Manager based in Daresbury for a full-time, permanent role. This senior management position is responsible for fostering a positive construction safety and coordination culture across complex stakeholder environments in sectors such as healthcare, custodial, education, accommodation, highways, and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Serve as the primary point of contact for CDM / Building Regulations advice within the organization.
  2. Collaborate with Principal Designers and Principal Contractors to plan, manage, and monitor the pre-construction phase, ensuring health and safety compliance.
  3. Ensure the appointed Principal Designer identifies and manages foreseeable risks to health and safety.
  4. Review and coordinate with Principal Designer/CDM(A) throughout the construction phase, including health and safety file collation.
  5. Ensure a suitable health and safety file is prepared and handed over to the client upon project completion.
  6. Work with other professional services to meet contractual obligations efficiently and cost-effectively.
  7. Complete visits and services to meet contractual obligations within the SHE Department.
  8. Provide assurance to the Executive Leadership Team through comprehensive performance reports on compliance with safety regulations.
  9. Deliver training and updates on industry changes to the wider business.
  10. Demonstrate management and coordination skills akin to a Principal Designer.

Essential
  • NEBOSH Construction certification
  • Grad IOSH membership
  • Member of IIRSM
  • Knowledge/experience in FM consultancy or related fields
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Experience with large or complex projects
  • Well-organized, articulate, and motivated

  • Ability to work independently and in teams

  • Successful DBS check
Desirable
  • Proficiency in IT tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint
