Job summary

A leading Facilities Management company is seeking a Compliance Technician to manage site compliance across the Northwest. Key responsibilities include overseeing contractors, managing permits, and conducting site inspections. Ideal candidates will have experience in Facilities Management and strong communication skills. Qualifications

Compliance Technician

Location: Preston - Mobile

Salary: £36,000

Hours: Mon-Fri, 08:00-17:00

FTC - 12 months with view to go permanent

Role Overview

We are seeking an organised and reliable technician to support the smooth running of the sites across the Northwest. The Compliance Technician will act as the main on-site presence, ensuring contractors are managed, paperwork is completed, and standards are maintained.

Key Duties
  • Ensure all work activities are authorised, planned, and executed in line with company procedures, safety regulations, and client requirements
  • Assess scope of work, identify required permits, and confirm availability of personnel, materials, and equipment
  • Create, manage, renew, and close work permits across site
  • Identify hazards and implement appropriate risk control measures
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, maintenance teams, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and safe work execution
  • Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with permits and procedures
  • Maintain accurate records of permits, inspections, and related documentation
  • Support investigation of incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and corrective actions
  • Stay current with health and safety legislation, industry standards, and client requirements
  • Promote and reinforce a positive safety culture in the workplace
Requirements (Desirable)
