Job description

New Compliance Officer opportunity working with a rapidly growing PE backed insurer. Reporting to the Head of Compliance, you will get involved in broad range of duties with a key focus around advisory and monitoring activities. The role is primarily remote, with the occasional office presence required in West Sussex.

Key responsibilities:

• Developing and implementing compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
• Reviewing risks and controls to ensure effective compliance management.
• Designing and carrying out monitoring activities, reporting findings, and overseeing remedial actions.
• Advising teams (insurance, claims, marketing) on regulatory requirements.
• Preparing compliance reports and management information.
• Supporting colleagues on day-to-day compliance obligations.
• Assisting with wider regulatory and business compliance needs.

Key skills and experience:

• Compliance experience (ideally as broad/ generalist as possible) within the Insurance industry.
• Strong knowledge of FCA regulations, including Consumer Duty.
• Hands-on compliance monitoring experience.
• Solid understanding of wholesale and retail insurance products.
