A leading logistics company in the United Kingdom is seeking a Compliance Manager to oversee compliance with Transport Law across multiple sites. You will manage a team responsible for data analysis and corrective actions, ensuring legal and efficient operations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, analytical skills, and attention to detail. As the Compliance Manager your key responsibilities will be to support the General Manager - Compliance in maintaining and improving all areas of Transport Law across the business including five Hub sites and circa eighty depots of both HGV and LCV drivers. You will be managing the team who review and analyse the related driver data daily and ensure this is accurate and that nominated TMs are addressing non compliances and taking sufficient corrective action. To ensure all KPIs are met in assisting the departments to function legally safely and efficiently and maintaining ER accreditation.
To review non compliances with the Operator Licence Undertakings and Administration by the nominated TMs
To centrally generate and analyse driver related compliance data and pass to the nominated Transport Managers for the appropriate action to be taken.
To review and quality assure the actions taken by the nominated Transport Managers on any non-compliance issues
To highlight and rectify any issues found with regards to compliance and record written details of all issues found and outcomes agreed
To ensure that all individuals who are employed (or deployed through a driver Agency) to drive a vehicle over 2.2 tonnes in weight for the company meet the legal requirements to do so. This does not apply to vehicles operated by the ODFs.
To provide training and support where required to ensure nominated TMs have sufficient knowledge to ensure compliance levels are maintained locally
Using the available data and initiative to highlight changes in order to reduce the number of compliance issues the department faces and drive compliance
