A leading UK insurance firm is looking for a Senior Compliance Analyst / Compliance Manager to ensure compliance with FCA regulations and oversee Product Governance. This role requires significant experience in compliance, stakeholder management, and regulatory frameworks. The successful candidate will influence senior stakeholders and develop governance policies. This position is hybrid with occasional travel.

Job Title: Senior Compliance Analyst / Compliance Manager – Product GovernanceOverview: We are committed to ensuring our products and services not only deliver exceptional value to our customers but also meet the highest standards of regulatory compliance and customer protection. To support this, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Compliance Analyst / Compliance Manager with strong expertise in Product Governance, FCA Regulations, and PROD rules.This role will be pivotal in shaping and maintaining our product governance framework, ensuring full alignment with the FCA’s Consumer Duty, PROD requirements, and wider regulatory obligations. The successful candidate will support our UK Retail Division (60 offices across the UK & Ireland), working in a hybrid capacity with occasional travel.Key Responsibilities:Lead and oversee Product Governance reviews to ensure our portfolio complies with FCA regulations, PROD rules, and Consumer Duty requirements.Act as a subject matter expert on Product Governance controls, ensuring robust processes are in place for new product approvals and existing product reviews.Drive the annual Product Review process, ensuring comprehensive risk assessments, value assessments, and regulatory compliance across all product lines.Develop and maintain Product Governance policies and frameworks, embedding regulatory best practice across the business.Collaborate with senior stakeholders, including Compliance, Legal, Risk, and Product Development, to provide strategic input on product governance matters.Monitor FCA publications, industry developments, and regulatory change, ensuring proactive updates to governance processes.Conduct audits and compliance monitoring activities to assess the effectiveness of governance frameworks and ensure remedial actions are implemented.Deliver high-quality reporting, MI, and presentations to senior management, the Board, and regulators where required.Provide guidance, training, and coaching to business units on PROD, Consumer Duty, and wider regulatory compliance.Support complaints analysis and customer feedback processes to ensure regulatory expectations around product value and customer outcomes are consistently met.Qualifications & Experience:Proven experience in Compliance, Product Governance, or Risk Management within the UK insurance sector.Strong working knowledge of FCA regulations, Consumer Duty, and PROD rules.Experience conducting Product Governance reviews, value assessments, and product approval processes.Track record of managing stakeholder relationships, including influencing C-suite executives and senior management.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide clear, concise compliance guidance.Strong analytical, risk assessment, and problem-solving skills.Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Professional compliance or regulatory qualifications (e.g. ICA, CISI, CII) desirable but not essential.Eligible to work in the UK.
