Job description

Position Purpose:

Entry level position where the Compliance Education Specialist is responsible for training customers on OSHA, HIPAA, and HazCom compliance/regulations via presentations, on-site facility OSHA Evaluations, HIPAA Gap Analysis, and customer consultation.

Key Job Activities:
  1. Provide onsite services including presenting PowerPoint presentations, conducting OSHA site evaluations, HIPAA gap analysis, Mystericycle.com system overview, completing safety plans, and evaluations with recommendations.
  2. Assist with managing assigned territory/book of business and company expenses (travel, hotel, flights, etc.).
  3. Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email, providing answers and resolutions to compliance questions and assistance in achieving compliance.
  4. Utilize electronic technology (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.) to deliver onsite visits and upload customer documents/reports promptly.
  5. Maintain current knowledge in bloodborne pathogens, OSHA, HIPAA, HazCom regulations, and CDC protocols for healthcare workers to enhance proficiency.
  6. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Education:

Preferred: Associate's degree or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience:
  • At least 2 years of experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Completion of 30-hour online OSHA training within the first 6 weeks of employment.
  • HIPAA certification to be completed at a later date.

This position requires onsite presence at Stericycle customer locations and compliance with all mandatory immunization requirements, including COVID-19 vaccination. Reasonable accommodations will be provided as per laws.
