Job summary

A leading recruitment agency in the UK is looking for a Compliance Assistant Manager and MLCO to join their Risk & Compliance team. The successful candidate will oversee the Compliance Programme and support internal and external stakeholders while managing a local team. Ideal applicants will have solid compliance experience and an understanding of relevant regulations. This position offers the chance for career progression in compliance.

Qualifications

  • Solid experience in compliance, risk, or operational control.
  • In-depth understanding of conduct/prudential regulations.
  • Previous experience as MLCO, MLRO, or in deputy roles.

Job description

Do you have solid experience in compliance, risk, or operational control within a regulated corporate or fund services business? If so, we ve got the opportunity for you!

Our client is seeking a Compliance Assistant Manager and MLCO to join their Risk & Compliance team and act as a key point of contact for the Jersey business, supporting internal and external stakeholders and overseeing the Compliance Programme. As MLCO & CO, responsibilities will include NBC attendance, quarterly board reporting with the MLRO, and data-driven analysis of controls, policies, incidents and training. You will also be expected to act as Deputy MLRO and support high-risk client reviews, working with the Global Client Take-On teams.

Along with relevant compliance experience, in-depth understanding of anti-financial crime and conduct/prudential regulations across law firms, fiduciary, and/or fund services is required as well as knowledge of multiple jurisdictions. Prior experience in MLCO, MLRO or deputy roles is preferred, and experience presenting at board level, delivering training, and working within other Jersey licensed businesses is advantageous. As you will be managing a Jersey-based team member, previous supervisory/leadership experience is desired and there will be the potential for the successful candidate to have future direct reports.
