Job summary

Co-op is hiring a Funeral Arranger in Southport to join our compassionate team. The role offers part-time hours (18.75 per week) with afternoon shifts and a starting rate of £13.47 per hour, plus benefits.

You will support families, arrange visits, and manage documentation using digital systems while upholding the highest standards of care. Training is provided, and the Co-op offers a competitive pension, staff discounts, and holiday entitlement for pro-rata annual leave.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills in writing and speaking.
• Ability to confidently work with numbers and basic cash handling.
• Keen eye for detail and accuracy to ensure regulatory policies are followed.
• Solid IT skills to use devices and systems and learn new applications.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and the community.
• Support clients in person and over the phone, arranging family visits and answering questions.
• Keep the funeral home clean, safe, and welcoming and report maintenance issues.
• Use digital systems to manage client documentation, funeral arrangements and invoicing.
