Job summary

Co-op Funeralcare are hiring a Funeral Arranger in Glasgow. This part-time position (20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 10am–2pm) involves direct contact with the deceased as part of duties.

Full training and ongoing support are provided, with a competitive salary and pension, plus employee discounts on Co-op products. You will build relationships with clients, arrange family visits, manage documentation across digital systems, and help maintain a respectful, professional funeral home

Qualifications

• Clear communication with clients and colleagues, both written and spoken.
• Ability to perform basic calculations and handle cash.
• Attention to regulatory policies and accuracy in records.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and the community.
• Assist clients in person and over the phone with funeral arrangements.
• Keep the funeral home clean, safe, and welcoming, report maintenance issues.
• Use digital systems to manage client documentation and invoicing.
• Refer regulated work to Funeral Plan Arrangers.
• Assist in handling coffins and preparation of the deceased.
• Update client management applications with timely information.
