Co-op is seeking a Funeral Arranger in Braintree for a 12-month contract, part-time 18.75 hours weekly at £13.47 per hour plus benefits. Duties include client liaison, arrangements, and maintaining a respectful funeral environment. We provide full training, a competitive salary, pension, and employee discounts.

You will work with digital systems for documentation and invoicing; there is a focus on empathy, professionalism, and compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills, written and verbal.
• Ability to do basic cash handling and data entry.
• Attention to regulatory policies and accuracy.
• Proficiency with office tech and devices; adaptability to new apps.
• Empathy, discretion and customer care.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including moving coffins with training.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and the community.
• Support clients in person and by phone, arrange family visits and answer questions.
• Keep the funeral home clean, safe and welcoming, reporting maintenance issues.
• Use digital systems to manage client documentation, arrangements and invoicing.
• Refer regulated work, like selling plans, to Funeral Plan Arrangers.
• Assist with manual handling and preparation of the deceased.
• Update client management apps with accurate information.
