Job summary

Co-op is seeking a Funeral Arranger in Salisbury to provide compassionate client support and manage funeral arrangements. The role involves direct contact with the deceased in line with professional standards, ensuring a respectful and dignified service.

You will build relationships with clients, handle documentation, coordinates visits, and work across digital systems. The position is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, with standard daytime shifts.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills in written and spoken form.
• Numerical ability including cash handling and invoicing.
• Attention to detail and adherence to regulatory policies.
• Good IT skills and ability to learn multiple systems.
• Passion for delivering great service and building relationships.
• High levels of empathy, discretion and care.
• Ability to perform physical elements of the role (lifting coffins) with training provided.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and the community.
• Support clients in person and by phone, arranging family visits and answering questions.
• Keep the funeral home clean, safe and welcoming, and report maintenance issues.
• Use digital systems to manage client documentation, funeral arrangements and invoicing.
• Refer all regulated work like selling funeral plans to the Funeral Plan Arrangers.
• Assist with manual handling of coffins and care of the deceased for viewing.
• Update client management applications with accurate, timely information.
