Job summary

Co-op Funeralcare is hiring a Funeral Arranger in Loughton to join a friendly team. This part‑time role (18.75 hours/week, Monday–Friday 9am–1pm) offers £13.47 per hour plus benefits and opportunities to support families at a difficult time.

You’ll build relationships with clients, arrange visits, manage documentation, and assist in care of the deceased with dignity and professionalism. Full training is provided, plus a strong pension, discounts and career development.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and numeracy skills.
• Comfort with physical tasks including moving coffins.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with clients and the community.
• Assist clients in person and over the phone, arranging family visits and answering questions.
• Ensure the funeral home is clean, safe and welcoming, and report maintenance issues.
• Work with digital systems to manage client documentation, funeral arrangements and invoicing.
• Refer regulated work to the Funeral Plan Arrangers.
• Assist in the care and preparation of the deceased.
• Update client management applications with accurate information.
