Job summary

Southern Housing in Freshwater on the Isle of Wight is seeking a Care & Support Worker for 27 hours per week, delivering person-centred care across housing schemes and the community. You’ll work evenings and weekends, with DBS checks and full training provided.

You’ll support residents with independence and dignity, following individual care plans and contributing to a safer, more inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• 5 GCSEs minimum including Maths and English.
• Willingness to work towards NVQ Level 2 in Care.
• No previous experience required; full training provided.
• Enhanced DBS check required.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and support according to individual care plans.
• Promote independence, dignity and inclusion in daily living.
• Work across evenings, weekends and on-call as required.
• Move and handle residents safely as part of daily tasks.
