Job summary

Southern Housing are seeking a Care & Support Worker at 22 Argyll S, Ryde, Isle of Wight, to provide personalised, high quality support to residents across schemes and in the local community. The role is 35 hours per week with evenings and weekends as required.

You will work with older adults, people with learning disabilities or autism, and those with complex needs, following individual care plans to promote independence, dignity and inclusion. DBS check required; full training provided.

Qualifications

• GCSEs including Maths and English at minimum
• Willingness to work towards NVQ Level 2 in Care
• No previous experience required; full training provided
• Enhanced DBS check required

Responsibilities

• Provide care and support across housing schemes and community
• Follow individual care plans to promote independence and dignity
• Support people with a range of needs, including older adults and learning disabilities
• Work evenings and weekends; may take part in on-call rota and sleep-in duties
• Move and handle tasks as required and maintain accurate records
