Job summary

Southern Housing seeks caring individuals to join our Care & Support team. You will deliver person-centered care across housing schemes and within the community, promoting independence while upholding dignity and inclusion.

You’ll work evenings, weekends, sleep-ins, and on-call shifts as required, with training provided. The role involves safeguarding responsibilities and physical tasks such as moving and handling, in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English.
• Willingness to work towards an NVQ Level 2 in Care (or equivalent).
• No previous experience required – full training and support provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and support in line with individual care plans, promoting independence, dignity and inclusion.
• Deliver care across supported housing schemes and community settings.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and maintain accurate records.
• Be flexible to work evenings, weekends, and sleep-in or on-call duties.
• Move and handle residents safely and calmly in emergencies.
