Job summary

Southern Housing is seeking a Care & Support Worker to join our team across Isle of Wight projects, including Freshwater, Ryde and surrounding areas. You will deliver person-centred care, work with a diverse client base, and support residents in line with care plans to promote independence and inclusion.

This hands-on role requires evenings/weekends, potential sleep-ins, and on-call rotas. Training is provided, with DBS checks and ongoing development supported by the employer.

Qualifications

• GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English
• Willingness to work towards NVQ Level 2 in Care
• No previous experience required; full training provided

Responsibilities

• Deliver care across supported housing schemes, extra care services and in the local community
• Provide care in line with individual care plans, promoting independence and inclusion
• Work evenings and weekends; may include sleep-in duties or on-call rota
• Move and handle responsibilities involved; respond calmly in emergencies
