Job summary

Southern Housing seeks a Care & Support Worker to join our Ryde team on a 35-hour week. Salary £24,479 per annum plus benefits. The role spans our supported housing schemes, extra care services and the local community across the Island.

You will provide person-centred care, support residents with diverse needs, and contribute to care plans with dignity and inclusion. Training is provided; Enhanced DBS will be completed. Closing date 3 November 2026.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English
• Willingness to work towards an NVQ Level 2 in Care (or equivalent)
• No previous experience is required - full training and support will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and support across housing schemes, extra care and in the community
• Deliver care in line with individual care plans, promoting independence and inclusion
• Move and handle as required and respond calmly in emergencies
• Maintain accurate records and report concerns as part of safeguarding duties
