Caerphilly County Borough Council is seeking a Community Safety Control Room Operator for the Tir y Berth location. The main duties are to operate the C.C.T.V Public Open Space surveillance systems, Out of Hours Emergency Calls and Buildings Alarm Activated surveillance systems in a conscientious and efficient manner, in accordance with specified operating procedures and Codes of Practice.
The successful candidates will need to demonstrate good communications / listening skills, attention to detail, I.T. skills and have previous experience in a job that required working with the public and delivering a service or working within a Control room environment. The successful candidates must be available to a shift pattern.
The Control Room currently manages 170+ public CCTV cameras, monitors 90+ Council owned premises and provides the Authority's Out of Hours Service taking over 6000 calls per year covering mainly Housing, Highways and Environmental issues.
