Job summary

Mitie Group plc. in Manchester is seeking an organised and experienced Control Room Operator to join our security team. You will monitor CCTV, intruder and fire alarm panels, and support incident response with accurate reporting.

You will work 42 hours per week on a 4-on/4-off shift pattern (day and night). A valid CCTV License is required, and a 5-year verifiable education or work history with references is essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid CCTV License and have a 5-year verifiable education or work history with references.
• Experience in control room or security preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Flexible with shifts and able to work 4 on 4 off.

Responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV, intruder, and fire alarm panels.
• Create incident reports and request engineers.

Job description

Mitie has a great opportunity for an organised, efficient, and experienced Control Room Operators to join our security team in Manchester. You will be working within a supportive team to maintain and monitor CCTV, intruder, and fire alarm panels. There are also administrative tasks to support the whole security contract, which includes creating incident reports, requesting engineers, and communicating via radio with emergency services and members of the public.

If you have prior control room or security experience, a passion for delivering excellent customer service and a desire to excel, Please note: You MUST hold a valid CCTV License and have a 5-year verifiable education or work history with references.

You will be contracted to 42 hours a week with a pay rate of £13.88per hour. You will report to the sites Supervisor.

The shifts are 4 on 4 off . There are day and night shifts available, and extra shifts are offered to cover absence and holidays within the team.

Main Duties

• Your key responsibilities will include assisting with daily operational requirements – ensuring compliance and accurate recording of incidents. As part of your role, you will be required to escal… ???
• You will also be supporting the Shift Supervisor where required.

• Excellent communication skills is essential (written and verbal).
• Corporate Security experience is preferred but not essential.

• Understand the Health and Safety at Work Act, relevant Criminal, Civil Law and Police and Criminal Evidence Act.
