At Teignmouth Hospital we provide care to patients and support families in our community. Using your skills you too can make a difference. You will be using a wide range of your nursing skills as we provide a variety of support from complex wound management, catheter care, palliative care and diabetes management.
Throughout your day you may be working independently but we like to meet up for lunch and discuss what’s going on and what support we can offer each other. Working together is a big part of our ethos along with being flexible and promoting a healthy work and home life balance. The commute to work alone is one of the most picturesque you will find, and our stunning local community is breathtaking.
As a team we work closely with our other departments to help with an interlinking supportive care for better all-round awareness to ensure that patients receive coordinated care. Our amazing volunteers' teams are a big part of this too.
If you have your NMC pin and would like to deliver holistic nursing care, please apply.
We are happy for you to visit us.
This is a part-time role for 22.5 hours per week.
Applicants must already hold their NMC registration for the position as stated in the JD&PS
We pride ourselves on delivering high standards of care and building relationships within the communities we are part of. Taking part in local events such as fund-raising events. We also enjoy social time together doing activities such as walking/dog walking, lunches/picnics, park run, also the occasional inter‑department games.
We have a stunning outside area to enjoy breaks, lunches and even a bit of yoga. Nothing compares to the amazing view of our local area and only a 5-minute walk away from the beach.
We have an established training and induction plan for all new team members and experience in the community is therefore not essential. Some of our new colleagues have had this to say about us –
'The support from this team has been unmatched to anything I have experienced before in my career. I was made to feel welcome and supported within my team.'
And from one of our newly qualified nurses –
'The experience in the community has been so different from the acute. Supportive, calming and confidence building.'
If you are able to work flexibly between the hours of 7am and 7pm, 7 days a week, including weekends and bank holidays, across Community nursing and Intermediate Care (nursing) to meet the needs of the Service, then come and join our team!
