Overview

We are excited to be looking for a Community Housing Officer to join our housing team. We are looking for someone with a passion for delivering high quality, person focused services. You'll be responsible for all aspects of tenancy management including new tenancies, anti-social behaviour, and rents management, you will be dedicated to working with customers to help sustain their tenancies.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the community housing service ensuring it delivers great customer outcomes (e.g., increased independence, improved resilience) and great business outcomes (e.g., reduced cost to serve (value for money (VfM), enhanced reputation, maximising income).
  • Ensure close, collaborative, and effective working with colleagues and external partners.
  • Provide the delivery of an excellent community housing service which delivers bespoke, person-centred interventions that increase freedom and tenancy sustainability.
About You
  • Knowledge of relevant housing legislation and tenancy management approaches and practices.
  • Insight into the context of social housing, our funding, and the difficulties we face in maximising our positive impact on the regeneration of communities.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD) through membership of professional bodies, training, and relevant qualifications (have or working towards a recognised housing qualification).
  • Experience of working in a service area that is customer focused, ideally in a housing management or related context.
