Job description
Community Diagnostic Centre Imaging Nurse

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Imaging Nurse - Band 5 to join our Imaging Department across our Community Diagnostic Centre.

This exciting role offers cross-site responsibilities between Wembley and Willesden, and you will be working within a Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) that includes nurses, radiographers, radiologists, imaging assistants, and admin and clerical staff to deliver excellent patient care in a variety of imaging specialties.

As an Imaging Nurse in our Imaging Department, your focus will be on delivering compassionate, patient-centred care while working with a team of skilled professionals. On occasion, you may be the only nurse on duty, so confidence and the ability to work autonomously are key to success in this role.

Shift Patterns:

  • 8:00am - 8:00pm
  • 12:00pm - 12:00am
  • 9:00am - 5:00pm
  • 4:00pm - 12:00am

We understand that working late shifts can be challenging, which is why we offer a taxi service to take you safely home after shifts that finish at midnight.

Main duties of the job
  • To provide high quality, effective, individualised care to all patients that is compassionate and caring.
  • To assess care needs and develop, implement and evaluate them without supervision.
  • To keep up to date with skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain accurate clinical observations of the patient and act accordingly.
  • Have responsibility for the correct administration and custody of medicines according to Trust policy.
