Job Details

Salary: £109,725.00 - £145,478 per annum (Pro-rata)

Contract: Substantive

Hours: Full-time: 10 Programmed Activities (DCC:SPA = 7.5:2.5) plus 1 PA optional

On call: Frequency 1:7; Category B - 2% on call supplement

Location: Skyline Plaza, 45 Victoria Avenue, Southend-on-Sea, Essex, SS2 6BB

Qualifications
  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
  • CCT or equivalent
  • Section 12 Approval or eligibility for it
  • Approved Clinician status, or eligibility for it
  • Inclusion in, or eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST

Role Context

We are currently recruiting to a CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist position in the Southend-on-Sea CAMHS Team, based at Skyline Plaza, 45 Victoria Avenue, Southend-on-Sea, Essex, SS2 6BB. This is a replacement, substantive, full-time post – 10 PAs with 7.5 DCC and 2.5 SPA. There is also the option for an additional PA. This post is currently vacant, and we wish to recruit as soon as possible.

Responsibilities
  • Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to children and young people with mental health needs, across Southend-on-Sea
  • Provide senior medical support and guidance to the team
  • Work directly with young people and their families and liaise with other CAMHS mental health providers and acute hospitals
  • Participate in the on-call rota (1:7) with a 2% basic salary Category B on-call supplement
  • Support peers and the team leader and be an effective team member while enabling them to work with their own initiative
  • Work alongside 0.8 wte Specialty Doctor
  • Commit to collaborative working and liaising with other health and social professionals and agencies
