Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a communications all-rounder to join our modern, creative team, where you will lead on many of our high-profile communications priorities.

Working as a Communications Campaign Lead, you will help the delivery of multi-channel communication and marketing. This will include commercially focused communications work promoting our leisure offer, events programme and much more.

In line with our digital-first approach you will maximise digital channels including social media and have a sound PR sense to carry out media relations work as well as leading on the delivery of strategic marketing campaigns.

Working at pace, you will help create great content to deliver our messages to our key audiences and play your part in continuing to evaluate, grow and develop our channels.

You will also be building trusted relationships with senior leaders as you work to define communications priorities and meet objectives to evidence value in all that we do.

You will be joining an award-winning council which is the 2025 LGC Council of the Year and a dedicated and highly skilled communications team which shares a joint ambition to deliver the best in public sector communications.
