Job description

A opportunity has arisen within a major name within the water treatment and HVAC sectors who are now looking for an experienced and hardworking Commissioning Engineer based in and around the Guildford area. The successful candidate will have experience carrying out commissioning duties such as validating and balancing air and water systems on a variety of contract types. Applications from Woking, Farnborough, Epsom, Aldershot and the surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Must have experience in inspecting and balancing air and water systems.
  • Must have experience carrying out validations on air and water systems.
  • Previous experience working on critical ventilation systems is essential.
  • Proven ability to analyse schematic drawings and survey reports in order to commission system correctly.
  • Must have a good water treatment, chemical, technical and maintenance background.
  • Must be fully conversant in relevant health and safety and compliance legislation specifically HTM-0301 guidelines.
  • Must have excellent communication skills.
  • Competent in using the Microsoft office package.
  • A good working knowledge of the water industry is essential.
  • Experience working in a water treatment commissioning role within the water treatment industry essential.
Duties within the Role
  • Carrying out commissioning duties on air and water systems, including balancing, inspection and validations.
  • Calibrating equipment to accurately balance water systems.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant Health & Safety legislation and company standards.
  • Carry out service work strictly in-keeping with client’s specifications.
  • Involvement in staff training as required.
  • Inspecting project installs when required.
  • Produce reports and prepare quotations.
  • Undertaking some water treatment duties to suit business needs.
  • Maintaining a professional working relationship with the company’s clients.
