Qualifications

  • Electrician 18th Edition certification is required.

Main Purpose

Mainly working in the Healthcare sector across leading NHS Trusts and private medical hospitals this role is responsible for commissioning, servicing and rapid‑response call‑out of Bender Medical IT systems (IPS), Theatre Control Panels, Operating Lights, Medical Tables, Turnkey Theatre Packages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Commission and service medical IT systems, surgeons' control panels, theatre operating lights, medical tables, and pendants.
  • Service third‑party equipment as above. Participate in the call‑out rota and respond within agreed requirements and timescales.
  • Log all cases and call‑outs when working out of hours.
  • Represent Bender UK professionally by delivering excellent customer service on‑site with end customers, contractors, and hospital staff.
  • Complete job‑specific risk assessments and method statements.
  • Support the Industrial Team with on‑site technical commissioning and servicing as required.
  • Provide remote service monitoring and data analysis.
  • Deliver on‑site training to customers on Bender‑supplied equipment.
  • Attend site meetings as required.
  • Upload programmes upon project completion.
  • Work closely with all departments within Bender UK, promoting cross‑functional collaboration and a "one team" approach.

In addition to a competitive salary Bender UK offers the following benefits :

  • Salary : £42,000 (based on 37.5 hours per week including an average of 20 hours out‑of‑hours work per month)
  • Additional Pay : Up to £20,000 (for overtime and / or out‑of‑hours work beyond what is covered in the salary)
  • Bonus : Eligible to participate in the annual company bonus scheme
  • Car Entitlement : A company van will be provided
  • Holiday Entitlement : 25 days + 8 bank holidays with a buy / sell leave scheme in place at the start of each holiday year
