Commercial Manager

Belfast

We are hiring for our client, an award-winning construction business, who are experiencing significant growth with major projects already underway and more in the pipeline. They now require a Commercial Manager (or an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor seeking progression) to join their management team in Belfast on a permanent basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual to step into a senior commercial leadership role, working closely with the Commercial Director on high-value, complex projects.

The Role:

  • Lead and manage the project commercial team, ensuring delivery of all commercial and QS functions
  • Control project costs and secure financial performance through robust commercial management
  • Oversee subcontractor accounts, procurement processes, change control and compliance with contract obligations
  • Report on commercial risks, cashflow forecasting, and project performance
  • Advise operational teams on commercial/contractual issues and manage key client relationships

The Person:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Cost Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in a similar commercial management role (or as a Senior QS ready to step up)
  • Proven leadership and management skills
  • Strong commercial acumen with excellent organisational and time management abilities
  • Familiarity with NEC contracts is essential
