This is your opportunity to be part of a collaborative team shaping one of the nation's most ambitious infrastructure ventures.
As a senior commercial professional within the CWA, you will drive value, efficiency and high standards across every stage of this landmark project. Your work will underpin both the successful delivery of Sizewell C and the Alliance's reputation as a centre of industry excellence.
A Commercial Manager is responsible for managing the commercial aspects of a Section or major part of the SZC Civil Works Alliance scope, from setting the Target Outturn Cost (TOC) to project delivery and final financial closure. They play an important role within the project's commercial team, helping to ensure the project is financially successful.
The role involves tasks such as risk management, procurement, financial reporting, and managing the supply chain. Commercial Managers are experienced individuals who have developed strong skills in commercial awareness, client communication, project management, and team coordination. They also have a solid understanding of the construction industry and are flexible and skilled negotiators. Typically, they will have a good track record of managing smaller commercial teams and may be working toward becoming a Chartered Member of RICS, ICES, or CIOB, and act as mentors for other team members aiming to gain professional qualifications.
