A leading recruitment consultancy is seeking a Commercial Financial Analyst for a 12-month FTC located in Bedfordshire. The ideal candidate will take full responsibility for month-end close, produce accurate management accounts, and provide insightful P&L analysis. Strong management accounts experience, ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification or QBE, and advanced Excel skills are essential. The position offers a hybrid working model with 2 days in the office and 3 days from home. Immediate start available.

Role: Commercial Financial Analyst - 12 Months FTC
Location : Bedfordshire
Working Patterns - Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week with hybrid (2 days office and 3 days from home)

The Accountancy and Finance Division at The ONE Group is exclusively partnering with a large, well-established organisation that is going through an exciting period of transformation across finance, operations and technology in recruiting an experienced Commercial Financial Analyst / Management Accountant.

Overview of the Role

You'll take full responsibility for month-end close, delivering accurate management accounts and high-quality P&L analysis. Your reporting will be used by senior leadership and Group, so accuracy, timeliness and strong controls are key. The role works closely with commercial finance, reporting and operational teams, making it a great blend of technical accounting and business partnering exposure.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close and prepare management accounts
• Maintain data accuracy, perform checks and manage automated postings
• Validate actuals for forecasting (Anaplan)
• Produce clear P&L reporting and commercial analysis
• Provide ad hoc insight to non-financial stakeholders
• Support Group reporting submissions
• Build and maintain a reporting hub for MI and KPIs
• Keep documentation audit-ready and support balance sheet recs
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting using historic trends
• Identify improvements and drive efficiencies
• Support and guide the Management Accounts team

What They're Looking For

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or QBE with strong management accounts experience
• Strong Excel skills; Oracle/Power BI beneficial
• High attention to detail and ability to work to strict deadlines
• Experience with auditors and good understanding of financial controls
• Analytical, proactive and confident managing workload independently
