Job Title: Commercial Gas Engineer
Location: Preston Area (covering Manchester and surrounding areas)
Salary: £45,000 per annum + overtime & benefits
Contract Type: Permanent
Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join a well-established facilities management team, working on prison service contracts across the Preston and Manchester regions. This role offers stability, excellent benefits, and long-term career opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

Service, maintenance, and repair of commercial gas and oil-fired heating & ventilation systems.

Ensure all work is carried out to current regulations and safety standards.

Use CAFM systems to manage and record maintenance tasks.

Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota.

Travel between sites as required (company van provided).

Requirements:

Experience working within prison environments (must hold or be able to obtain CTC clearance).

Strong knowledge of M&E systems.

Full UK driving licence.

Lucrative overtime opportunities.

Company van or car provided (role-appropriate).

Annual performance bonus.

Death in service benefit (3x salary).

Specialist tools provided.

Hours:

Monday to Friday: 8:00am 5:00pm (1-hour lunch)

On-call rota (out-of-hours)
