Qualifications

  • Previous experience in construction, engineering, or commercial admin preferred.
  • Knowledge of cost control or procurement is a plus.
  • Interest in Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the commercial department with project cost control and reporting.
  • Support the preparation of valuations, variations, and final accounts.
  • Maintain accurate commercial records and documentation.
  • Help track project costs, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Assist with procurement administration and supplier queries.
  • Support the preparation of subcontractor payments.
  • Update spreadsheets, cost trackers, and project files.

King & Moffatt Building Services are seeking a Commercial Assistant to support the Commercial and Project Teams across our electrical and mechanical projects.

This role is ideal for a highly organised, detail-focused individual who is looking to build a career in the construction and engineering sector, with exposure to commercial management, cost control, and project administration.

What You Would Do
  • Assist the commercial department with project cost control and reporting
  • Support the preparation of valuations, variations, and final accounts
  • Maintain accurate commercial records and documentation
  • Help track project costs, budgets, and forecasts
  • Assist with procurement administration and supplier queries
  • Support the preparation of subcontractor payments
  • Update spreadsheets, cost trackers, and project files
  • Liaise with site teams, suppliers, and the finance department
  • Ensure documentation is compliant with company and contractual requirements
Qualifications
  • Strong organisation and administration skills
  • Good level of numeracy and attention to detail
  • Confident using Microsoft Excel, Word, and email
