Job description

A highly regarded independent Commercial Broker is currently looking to add home-based (remote) Commercial Account Handlers to both their new business and renewals teams. They seek driven and motivated professionals with previous commercial insurance experience to support a diverse and interesting group of clients.

The Account Handler will support the Account Executive in managing the client portfolio, including setting up actions required for contract renewal.

The Account Handler is the first point of contact for external queries and issues, requiring skills and knowledge to meet client expectations.

This is a remote position with occasional visits to the office.

About the role:
  • Deliver high-quality and efficient service to clients.
  • Work closely with Account Executives to provide comprehensive insurance services to existing and potential new customers.
  • Manage clients ranging from small to large corporate risks.
  • Ensure all documentation related to placing, amending, or renewing insurance programs is completed accurately and timely.
  • Contribute to developing a professional company image focused on competence and customer satisfaction.
Key skills/experience required:
  • Previous account handling experience within a commercial insurance environment and relevant technical knowledge.
  • Good communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills.
  • Experience working with Acturis.
  • Ability to work under pressure and process large amounts of information quickly.
  • Influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Progression towards CII qualifications is supported but not required.
