Job description

A highly regarded independent Commercial Broker is currently looking to add remote Commercial Account Handlers to both their new business and renewals teams. They seek driven and motivated professionals with previous commercial insurance experience to support a diverse group of clients.

The Account Handler will support the Account Executive in managing the client portfolio, including setting up actions for contract renewal. The role involves being the first point of contact for external queries and ensuring client expectations are met.

This is a remote position with occasional office visits.

About the role:
  • Deliver high-quality, efficient service to clients.
  • Work closely with Account Executives to provide insurance services to existing and potential clients.
  • Handle clients of various sizes, from small to large corporate risks.
  • Complete documentation related to placing, amending, or renewing insurance programs accurately and promptly.
  • Promote a professional company image focused on customer satisfaction.
Key skills/experience required:
  • Previous account handling experience in a commercial insurance environment with relevant technical knowledge.
  • Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent relationship-building abilities.
  • Experience with Acturis software.
  • Ability to work under pressure and process large amounts of information quickly.
  • Influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Willingness to pursue CII qualifications is a plus but not essential.
