Job summary

A leading consulting firm in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Commercial Account Handler to manage and service a portfolio of commercial insurance clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of commercial insurance products and experience using the Acturis system. Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Commercial Account Handler within the insurance industry.
  • Experience working in a broker environment handling premiums up to 200K.
  • Be adept at using various insurer and broker portals.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day servicing of a book of commercial insurance clients.
  • Liaise with underwriters and insurers to obtain the best terms.
  • Actively seek out new business opportunities.

Job title: Commercial Account Handler

Salary: 40000

Location: Greater Manchester

Purpose of role

Lawes is currently recruiting for an experienced Commercial Account Handler as a result of our clients continued growth and success in the insurance market.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the day to day servicing of a book of commercial insurance clients across a variety of insurance lines and products
  • Assist in the preparation renewal reports process mid-term adjustments and support clients with policy documentation alongside supporting on any queries they may have
  • Work with clients responding to queries promptly and finding appropriate resolutions for customers
Day to day
  • Liaise with underwriters and insurers alike to obtain the best terms from the market and ultimate outcomes for your clients
  • Maintain accurate client records in line with company process and procedures complying always with the FCA guidelines
  • Actively seek out new business opportunities ensuring new customers and their business are adequately protected
Experience
  • Proven experience as a Commercial Account Handler within the insurance industry
  • Experience working in a broker environment and handling premiums up to 200K
Skills
  • You will have a strong grounding and understanding of commercial Insurance products particularly property casualty and motor and be keen to develop in your career
  • Be proficient in the use of the Acturis system and have previous experience in using insurer and broker portals alongside e-traded systems
  • You will be a natural communicator working with colleagues and insurer partners at all levels
