Job summary

A specialist recruitment agency is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant for a college in Poole, Dorset. SEN Teaching Assistant - College - Poole, Dorset.

SENCare Recruitment are currently working on behalf of a college, that is seeking experienced teaching assistants to support young adults who have autism, mild and profound needs and SEMH.

Start: ASAP. Duration: 5 days a week - ongoing. Hours: 8:30am - 4:30pm.

The ideal teaching assistant
  • Will have at least 6 months experience supporting students with autism, social emotional mental health difficulties, some profound needs.
  • Experience supporting students aged 16-25.
  • Able to follow students ECHPs.
  • Experienced with ASD, PMLD, SEMH, trauma, sensory processing, and social communication teaching background.
  • The ability to build strong and meaningful relationships with vulnerable students.
  • Have a clear DBS registered to the update service – child and adult checked.
