Job description

Our client is a national M&E Engineering Construction Contractor with numerous projects covering the whole of the UK.



Job Details

Coded Welders required for long-term work on a new build incinerator project near Cambridge.

Work pattern / Hours: 11-day fortnight / 10-hour days.

Duration: Until Christmas (probably longer).

Work involves welding 1/2 inch to 2 inch carbon and stainless steel pipes: ASME 9 BSEN 9606.

Weld test requirements include: 2 C/S TIG (GTAW), 2 S/S TIG (GTAW), C/S TIG (GTAW), S/S TIG (GTAW), and a Fillet weld test C/S MMA on plate (vertical and overhead).

Previous experience working within an Engineering Construction environment is essential.

Full NAECI PAYE pay rate with all allowances including holiday pay, lodge, travel, train fare, severance, Welplan, etc.

NAECI PAYE pay rates: Welder Grade 5.

PAY RATES: First 38 hours Monday to Thursday GBP22.44; after 38 hours Monday to Thursday, all day Friday and Saturday first 4 hours GBP31.42; after 4 hours on Saturday and Sunday GBP40.39.

ANNUAL LEAVE & BANK HOLIDAYS: Holiday pay accrued weekly; Bank Holidays paid in accordance with the NAECI Agreement.

INCENTIVE BONUS ARRANGEMENT (IBA): GBP2.37 per hour (GBP1.87 paid fortnightly on all hours and GBP0.50 retained and paid out monthly).

Welding Allowance: GBP0.44 per hour.

TRAVEL & ACCOMMODATION: Lodge GBP50.81 (increased to GBP85 per night with receipts). Travel time based on RAC Route Planner (fastest route) & train fare single anytime fare. You will be entitled to periodic leave (long weekends) and return travel fares.

SEVERANCE PAY: Accrued weekly: GBP13.46 under 41 years old; GBP20.19 over 41 years old.
