CNC Turner Machinist – Late Shift

Location: Hemel Hempstead
Rate: £17.00 base rate + £3 night shift allowance (based on 37-hour week)
Shift: Monday–Thursday 3:30pm – 11:00pm, Friday 12:30pm – 9:30pm
Overtime: Available at enhanced rates (1/3)
Job Type: Permanent
Start Date: ASAP

What You’ll Be Doing:

As a CNC Turner/Setter, you will play a critical role in producing high-specification, small-to-medium batch aerospace components. This is a hands‑on position, where your expertise will directly contribute to quality and on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set and operate CNC Turning machines (Fanuc controls) to tight aerospace tolerances
  • Work with premium materials including Stainless Steel, Titanium, Inconel, Aluminium, and Nylon
  • Record job timings accurately in the ERP system
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization in your workspace (6S)
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
What We’re Looking For:
  • Proven experience in CNC Turning, ideally within aerospace or other high‑precision sectors
  • Skilled in setting and operating CNC machines with Fanuc controls
  • Comfortable working to tight tolerances
  • Apprenticeship trained or qualified by experience
  • CAD/CAM knowledge is a bonus but not essential
