Job description
The Role

Good Afternoon, I'm currently representing a company that services the Oil & Gas, Aerospace, and Industrial Bronze industry. I'm searching for a machinist who is able to program as well as set and operate. As a CNC Machinist (Turner), you’ll set, operate, and program CNC Turning and Mill-Turn machines to produce high-precision components to tight tolerances and strict deadlines. You will work closely with production and supervisory teams to meet planned timescales while maintaining exceptional quality standards.

What You'll Do
  • Set, operate, and program CNC Turning and multi-axis Mill-Turn machines.
  • Produce high-quality components to exact specifications from the works order pack.
  • Work on small to large components across multiple industries.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and production teams to meet planned schedules.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping and adhere to company health & safety standards.
Essential Skills & Knowledge
  • Strong experience in CNC Turning and multi-axis machining.
  • Ability to program CNC controls (FANUC/Okuma QSP-200L/ISO/Mazatrol preferred).
  • Understanding of speeds, feeds, fixtures, tooling, and machining principles.
  • Live tooling experience.
  • Familiarity with LEAN manufacturing.
  • Competent with manual measuring equipment.
  • CAD/CAM skills (SolidWorks, hyperMill) are highly advantageous.
  • CMM inspection experience is an advantage.
Experience
  • Proven track record working in precision, tight-tolerance environments (Oil & Gas, Aerospace, etc.).
  • Experience with Victor, Hyundai, Doosan, multi-axis and Mill-Turn machines advantageous.
Qualifications
  • Ideally apprentice-trained with a recognised engineering qualification (City & Guilds / HNC or similar).
