Your responsibilities will include:

As a Sliding head machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC turning machines. The role requires being able to follow processes and steps, carrying out your own inspection of parts for quality, using equipment such as bearers, plug gauges, and height gauges…

• Set and operate CNC Machines
• Run proven programs, ensuring parts conform to specifications
• Read and interpret engineering drawings
• Self-inspect own parts using manual measuring equipment

Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate:

• Minimum 2 years of setting and or operating 5-axis CNC Turner machines
• Experience with using Star or Citizen machines
• Skilled in using twin turret/twin spindles in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings
• Experience in machining to tight tolerances using metallic materials
