Job summary

A precision engineering organisation specializing in motorsport is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist in Bognor Regis. Responsibilities include operating CNC milling machines, programming with Heidenhain controls, and working with carbon fibre materials. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in CNC milling and excellent detail orientation. The role offers an hourly rate of £18‑£22, 20 days annual leave, and overtime paid at 1.5× the standard rate, working Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a CNC Machinist with expertise in CNC milling and 5-axis machining.
  • Proficiency in programming and operating machines using Heidenhain controls.
  • Strong understanding of blueprint reading and GD&T.
  • Experience machining motorsport parts and working with carbon fibre components is advantageous.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

  • Program, edit, and optimise machining processes using Heidenhain controls.

  • Perform quality checks to ensure components meet strict specifications and tolerances.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot and optimise machining processes.
  • Use Visi machining CAM software for offline programming.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organised work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.

The role involves working on high-precision projects, focusing on CNC milling, 5-axis machining, and advanced materials such as carbon fiber. The position offers an hourly rate of £18‑£22, 20 days annual leave, and overtime paid at 1.5× the standard rate.

Day‑to‑day
