Job Title:

CNC Miller Setter Operator

Location:

Coventry

Salary:

Up to £37,575 basic to £53,000 (inclusive overtime 10 hours for calculation purposes however more available if required)

Shift:

Monday to Thursday, 37 hours minimum, with guaranteed overtime Friday, Saturday and Sunday at time and a half, and double time on Sunday. Three day weekend option every week.

The CNC Miller Setter Operator Role

The role involves precision machining of complex components to aerospace and defence standards.

Responsibilities include setting and operating multi-axis CNC milling machines and ensuring all work meets quality, safety and compliance requirements. The ideal candidate will have an aerospace background.

Key Responsibilities

• CNC milling setting and operating 5 and 6 axis
• Reading and working from engineering drawings
• Working to tight tolerance and using quality measuring tools to check work
• Working independently whilst maintaining standards and project requirements
• Cleaning and maintaining CNC machines, associated equipment and machining area
• Reporting into CNC Team Leader
• Understanding of how to programme would be beneficial

Previous Experience

• Apprentice trained or proven experience as a CNC miller
• Experience in a high precision manufacturing environment
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings
• Experience with CAD/CAM software
• Knowledge of other machine operations (desirable)
